Description:
Composed for the rededication of a one manual 19th-century instrument (1881 E. & G.G. Hook, op. 1047) in the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Boston. In recognition of the organs's new site — the Cathedral's Chapel of the Blessed Sacrement — the thematic material is derived from chants appointed for the Feast of Corpus Christi: Lauda Sion (I. Introit, V. Postlude), Pange lingua (II. Offertory, IV. Communion), and Te Deum (III. Elevation).
